Life in the Vaults has continued (in most cases) unabated for years since the start of the great war, but now the Vaults are opening. Be it mechanical fault, pre-programmed emergence or outside influence, Vault Dwellers are more and more common in the wasteland. Sometimes such denizens strike out on their own. Other times they join up with fellow survivors or stay in the relative safety of their homes. Either way they have been preparing for emergence for years, and come out swinging.

Super Mutants love to hunt and eat. If that means shooting down (mostly) defenseless ‘meat bags’ from afar or blowing their next meal into chunks will explosives, they are happy to do so. Their favourite method of ‘food preparation’ however is to get up close and personal and batter their next meal into submission with whatever comes to hand.

Creations of the Master, Nightkin are elite Super Mutants. Their purple hue is due to increase experimentation on them, though their name stems from near-constant use and almost addiction to Stealth Boys. This makes them some of the most dangerous variants of Super Mutants, as while they are not quite as strong as standard Super Mutants they are stealthier and have more reasoned approaches to combat – almost verging on tactics.

Marcus has been many things: A member of the Master’s army, a sheriff in Broken Hills, and now the leader of Jacobstown, a place for Super Mutants and Nightkin to live, albeit somewhat dysfunctionally. He is a veteran of several conflicts and incidents, and while he tries to keep the peace he can hold his own if called to fight. One of this number includes Lily, a Nightkin with multiple personality disorder. She is one-part caring grandmother, one-part a ravening combat monster named ‘Leo’; only time will tell which personality will win out.
